The Oak Ridge Easter Horse Show is a charity event produced wholly by volunteers.  All proceeds are distributed to worthwhile non-profit groups through The Oak Ridge Community Center, Inc., a non-profit organization that is the parent of The Oak Ridge Easter Horse Show.  These donations assist in funding many of the activities and organizations that directly impact our community.

The following programs or activities have recently received assistance from The Oak Ridge Easter Horse Show:

  • College scholarships for seniors from Northwest Guilford High School
  • Girl Scouts and girls athletic programs
  • Boy Scouts and boys athletic programs
  • Support of area churches regardless of denomination in their support of the needy
  • Oak Ridge Fire Department and their community based programs such as the Golden Harvest, a program that feeds the elderly, and their local fire prevention and safety efforts.

Purchases include encyclopedias, furniture, copy machines, PE equipment, refrigerators, playground equipment, blinds and other supplies.  Donations include building the gymnasium, installing ball fields and lights, purchasing equipment as well as paying for many ongoing and reoccurring expenses.  Organizations benefiting from these donations include:

  • Oak Ridge Elementary PTA
  • Northwest Middle and High School
  • Northwest High School Band program
  • Northwest High School Junior NROTC
  • Oak Ridge Military Academy
  • Therapeutic Horsepower
  • Guilford County Recreation Department
